I just wanted to know because i heard about it many years ago on TV i guess and they even said that there were plans to make the Ukranian language the third state language because of the population of "their" people)))

золушка, Zhenya is right, spoken language has it's own rules, even in Russian you speek the way it's easier, you don't use bulky sentences if you can say in two words

I've heard the same things from my friend, who had just come from USA. She has a proficiency level in Eng. And they used to make fun of her...her speach was too bookish!!!
Maybe they were green with envy because they can't speak the way she does although they are native speakers))))))))))))

I'm studing in МГУ, the faculty of journalistic, but we had English only on the 1-3 courses. But there was so tiny practise! So I remember English only from lunguistic school.
