Girls i just have found this theme and i think it was very good idea to speak english here. I have also been impressed to see how well most of you speak this language.
I hated english lessons at school but few years ago i found this language very interesting and started to learn it for myself. I would like to go to England to study english there but i am wondering if i can do it now when i am pregnant. What do you think about it girls? Is it not too dangerous to fly by plane when you have someone who grows up in you? I will be happy to hear any advice.

Катеринка,in my humble opinion you shouldn't fly because the child under your heart is the most important thing for you now!Moreover you're just 9 weeks pregnant.It is dangerous.So i think you should sit and think it through - what is more important for you - YOU or your CHILD?

They don't recommend to fly untill 20 weeks. And afterwards during your second trimester and only if your pregnancy is ideal. Because it's a risky business. And not only flight, being in a foreign country, climate too.
And I would be catigorical here, you are already a mother, you can't follow your wishes, your life is completelly dependant upon your child forever. Besides, here you can learn Eng too and it would be much cheaper.

I agree to Anna.There can't be two ways of thinking.Either you're a mother or you live on your own and don't try to get pregnant. Think about your futer life - when your child is born will you continue to do everything that comes into your mind or you first think about circumstances?

And how long are you planning? What's wrong? You know, for some time I thought there were problems with me too, as our sex wasn't safe at all, like withdrawal. It was not the time to plan baby, as I was graduating the university that year, but I'd become so crasy about the idea that I can't have a child, that I cflculated my ovulation period and on the day X we tried. I alsi prayed and stayed after like a birch. And I was pregnant. Now I'm always thinking wether I can have a second baby? though we're planning only in three years.

I will never do anything that can hurt my baby. But i think if there is no risk to fly why to postpone or refuse it? I am pregnant but i am not sick :) And i want only the best for my future child. English courses in England are more affective and 3-4 weeks there could give me much more than years of studying the language here. I am absolutly sure in it. And it would be good for my job (i am PR manager). Thats why i would like to do it.
But as i said if there some percent of risk i will not go to other country of course.

Аbout effectiveness...I'm not that sure. Their methodology is completely different and personally I, as a teacher, don't like it. I think that the so called communicative approach ( you speak and speak and speak and nobody corrects your mistakes untill you can be understood, no grammar, language cares for itself) is not as good without certain drilling and elements of theory. It would become effective if you lived there for at least three months. But people are different...Some catches language at once...
